Emanuele Campiglio

Emanuele Campiglio is an academic researcher dedicated to exploring the intersection of economics and sustainability. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Bologna's Department of Economics, Campiglio contributes to the understanding of macroeconomics and sustainability. In addition to his academic position, Campiglio serves as a Scientist at the RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment, where he actively engages in interdisciplinary research aimed at addressing pressing environmental challenges. He is also a Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science, specifically within the Grantham Research Institute. At the forefront of his research agenda is the ERC Starting Grant project titled "SMOOTH: Sustainable Finance for a Smooth Low-Carbon Transition." Campiglio's research interests span a wide array of topics, from macroeconomics to climate economics and finance, growth theory to resource dynamics, and finance, credit, and banking.
